Today is Good Enough

No time for regrets.
I am only 34 years young. But I have often looked back on my life and wondered why it went by so fast. I think about all the things I never did, all the opportunities I missed. It's likely that I avoided a lot of heart ache and pain. But I also missed a lot of fun and excitement.

No time for regrets and no time for new mistakes.
No time for 'sorry's and 'maybe's and 'That seems like a rash decision'.
What else do we have to look forward to if not 'today'? A casket? A nice funeral? Do we live for others? They will carry on without us. Do we live for the approval of other's? That and 75 cents will get us a cup of coffee.

  1. Søren Kierkegaard once wrote, “I see it all perfectly; there are two possible situations - one can either do this or that. My honest opinion and my friendly advice is this: do it or do not do it - you will regret both.”

  3. Please realize that 34 is YOUNG!!! I had so many regrets by 34 - but thought I was too old to go a new direction. Now at 50, I realize I was being ridiculous! And now, my body is gradually deteriorating and it really is too late for some things (like jumping out of airplanes). Still, I am open to new experiences even if some things are beyond me. Instead of looking back, look forward.

  4. Great post, Nosmo!

And I think you summed it up perfectly...

..."No time for regrets and no time for new mistakes"...

    There is only now.

I no longer regret. Because I honestly believe that it all happens for a reason. So, as long as I learn and grow...there is no regret or mistakes.

    Thank you.

  6. Funny you mention you're 34 with regrets etc. I happened to mention out loud today whilst shopping that I'll be turning 33 this year instead of 35 :)
