Correction in Blog Theme

This is an interesting topic for me because, well.. though I may not be overly successful as one I do consider myself a blogger.

I can be quite funny but I don't write comedy. Not here anyway. If you'd like to join me in my shower your welcome to it and we can laugh and get soapy. Fun, fun.

I write poetry on occasion but I am no poet. So it seems futile to push my crap poetry on you. I know of a dozen other bloggers whose poetry is great but I am not one of those.

I am no photographer. I may have an eye for composition but I also have a bad habit of forgetting my camera when I go on walks. At the same time I am not an artist. No sir. I can draw and paint but not to any level that would entertain.

I am no daily-life blogger. If I wrote only about interesting things in my life or observations of other peoples lives I would spit out a blog post once a month and that's an exaggeration.

I guess when it boils down to writing blogs you really have to have something to talk about. I wonder if that was my first mistake? I don't know.

Yet... (here it comes) I love writing! I love having a blog! So regardless of who reads it (I have 150 hits since Jan 5th 2010) and who comments (I average 2-5 comments a post) I still enjoy writing. Maybe one day I will find a winner of a blog theme and get 1000+ subscribers with 50-60 comments for every post (God that would be a lot of reading). Yet for now I am happy to be me and do what I do and write what I write and hopefully I learn something from it and hopefully you gain something from reading it.

  1. If you ever make that magical post, I won't likely read it. I begin to get antsy when a blogger gets too many comments - too many followers. I think - they don't need me - why am I here? Do I enjoy them enough to risk my comment being swallowed in a sea of others? I will rarely comment at all if there have already been about 8 of them. I feel like I have come late to the party and will only make the lineup for the washroom worse.
I don't always comment at all if I have nothing to say. I kinda wish I had a little Leroy was here stamp to leave behind.

  4. Thanks for the follow. I agree with Jeannie above. I like following people who don't have hundreds of followers because it feels like a more intimate gathering.

  5. Jeannie and Ken: Yeah. Wow. You know come to think of it I don't often leave remarks in blogs that have lots of comments either.

Savage: Thank you. Perhaps I shouldn't give up on poetry. Thanks.

Pearl: Welcome and thanks for visiting. Hope to see you back again soon and thank you for the compliment as well. I added your blog to my blog list. It's a big list so I hope you don't get swallowed up. LOL. Peace.

  6. I am a huge fan of all your writing! I guess you can say that I am a groupy! When you write your pieces the reader has no choice but to use all their senses to become immersed and that is what makes a good writer!
